Marriage Education

“A meta-analysis of over 100 studies on the impact of Marriage Education found clear Evidence that Marriage Education programs work—‘to reduce strife, improve communication, increase parenting skills, increase stability, and enhance marital happiness.”

Patrick Fagan, Robert W. Patterson and Robert E. Rector, “Marriage and Welfare Reform: The Overwhelming evidence that Marriage Education Works”

A good marriage needs a good foundation and it takes commitment, effort and skills.  Marriage preparation programs will help you understand issues relating to marriage and learn skills that help prepare for life together as husband and wife.

Life is full of choices between good and bad, right and wrong, vice and virtue, morality and immorality, pleasant and foul, kind and spiteful etc., etc.  Most of our actions depend upon the choices that we make. It is said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.  Choice is the ability to select one course of action from a set of alternatives to achieve a goal. What is so great about choice? It helps us in taking the most appropriate decisions in life.

We make choices every day, and our life becomes more convenient or comfortable because of them. For example, we decide which stores to shop at and which restaurants to patronize. But the decisions we make that shape our lives are far more important than deciding where to shop.  The more we appreciate the difference between minor and major decisions, the greater the likelihood that we will experience happiness and fulfillment.  When we act out of habit rather than conscious choice, the path we travel on becomes a slippery slope. If we don’t want to end up in the wrong place, we need to make a conscious choice rather than go with the chance.
